Harbor Club on Lake Oconee’s Ladies Golf League is proud to hold its annual Pink Ribbon Cancer Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 13, 2016. The special event is being held to support and benefit The Lydia Cancer Project in Augusta.

The Lydia Project is an awesome organization that helps women all over over the country cope with cancer. The non-profit provides several free services as well as special, purple-handled totes filled with a unique journal and several other encouraging items of assistance to help women courageously fight their battle with the disease.

Any and all women (whether a member of Harbor Club or not) who are interested in supporting this good cause are warmly invited to participate in the Pink Ribbon tournament. It’s a wonderful and fun way to make new friends and enjoy camaraderie for a cause with like-minded women in our beautiful Harbor Club community. In keeping with the theme, all women are encouraged to wear pink to the event. For those that do not wish to play golf, you don’t have to feel left out. You’re invited to a delicious luncheon to enjoy with all of the participants of the event after the tournament is complete. During the luncheon, there will be gorgeous gift baskets raffled off to lucky winner. Note that for every $5 donation you make, you will receive one raffle ticket. The larger your donation, the greater your chances to win a prize.

But wait, there’s more! After the luncheon, there will be a magnificent pink balloon release outside the Clubhouse in remembrance of not only those who have lost their lives to cancer, but for those that have had the strength and good fortune to survive it as well. It is a moving tribute to all of those who have been affected by cancer.

The golf tournament begins at 9am (shotgun) and is a four-person scramble format. Event organizers are happy to provide partners for any single participants that sign up.

The field for the golf tournament is limited to 25 teams, so please reserve early using this registration form. Hurry! The deadline for sign-up is October 1, 2016.
