Did you happen to see Harbor Club highlighted on Golf America TV recently? It’s wonderful to see our community on television, and this show was no exception. If you missed out, don’t worry. Below is a quick breakdown of each part of the program, along with a short video for each.

First, we want to show you our stunning Southern Living model home. In this video, you’ll get an online tour of the designer home and you’ll meet our friendly Sales Director, Kathy Phillips. She discusses some great aspects of this house as well as advantages of living in our Southern Living Inspired Community. Watch video

Next up is a highlight piece showing our award-winning, Weiskopf-Morrish-designed golf course. You’ll learn how Harbor Club got its start and why it is considered a “shot-makers” course. You’ll see it has several fun, yet challenging risk/reward holes. Our head golf pro, Doug Price, offers a few smart tips throughout this segment. Watch video

And speaking of Doug here’s a helpful video tutorial where he shows you the best way to hit a sand bunker shot. In this instance, he’s hitting the ball from a bunker at hole 17 on our course. Note that this particular hole was designed to emulate the infamous 12th hole at Augusta National. Watch video

The next three videos give the inside scoop on how to tackle other holes on our golf course, much thanks to Doug’s knowledge and advice.

Hole 8 – AKA “Arrowhead”

This is a heavily bunkered par five that turns right to left. Lay up shots should be placed right of the long bunker that guards the left side of the fairway short of the green. The green complex is severe so stay below the hole. Watch video

Hole 13 – AKA “The Well”

Bombs away with a driver on this hole. This mammoth par four with an uphill tee shot requires as much distance as possible to get to the plateau of the fairway. Long irons and fairway woods will be the preferred weapons when approaching this large green with a bunker short right. Watch video

Hole 18 – AKA “Double Cross”

A deceiving creek meanders down the right side of this long par four that contains two sets of tee boxes. The right tee box should be played at the middle fairway bunker with a driver or fairway wood. The peninsula tee has the creek running parallel with the fairway providing for a more aggressive play from the tee. The green is large and severe with some great hole locations. Watch video

Of course, if you’d like to watch the show in its entirety, you can see it on our Facebook page. Watch video

Granted, these videos are a good way to get acquainted with Harbor Club but stopping by for a visit is a much better experience. Make plans to visit us soon. We look forward to giving you an exclusive tour of our homes, show you our golf and lake facilities, The Clubhouse, The Grove, and everything else that makes our Harbor Club community so special.
