Harbor Club Remembrance Walk Honors 9/11

Monday, Sep 22, 2025  |  admin  |  Harbor Club Living

On September 11, the Harbor Club community came together for a meaningful Remembrance Walk to honor the lives lost and the heroes who gave everything on that tragic day in 2001. Beginning at the Cart Barn near the Club House and ending at the Flagpole in front of the Guard Shack, residents walked 1.1 miles in unity and reflection.

Leading the walk was Harbor Club resident and local firefighter Bob Welsh, who guided participants in honoring the 2,977 lives lost and the more than 400 First Responders who made the ultimate sacrifice. As the group reached the Flagpole, the American Flag was lowered to half-mast in a powerful tribute to their memory.

Along the way, moments of remembrance echoed the timeline of September 11:

  • 8:46 am: Flight 11 strikes the North Tower
  • 9:03 am: Flight 175 impacts the South Tower
  • 9:37 am: Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon
  • 10:07 am: Flight 93 goes down in Pennsylvania

It was a solemn and moving morning at Harbor Club, filled with reflection, respect, and unity. Together, we remembered the lives lost, honored the courage of First Responders, and reaffirmed that we will never forget.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Bob Welsh for leading the walk and to everyone who participated in making this day of remembrance so meaningful for our community.
