You may have seen our past article titled, “The 10 Best Reasons to Live At Harbor Club on Lake Oconee.” It offers several great reasons to take up residence in our award-winning community. It’s been a little while since we published that list, and we realized we have some additional, noteworthy features to add to it. Here are five more compelling reasons to live at Harbor Club:
The Grove is our newest fitness, recreation, and special event campus. It is a 12-acre complex that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, hiking and Fit-Trails®, a quarter-mile running track, and an event and sports field. The recreational amenities include a dog park, Victory Garden, and a tranquil Sanctuary Pond. Concerts and other large events are easily accommodated there with stadium seating on the sports field. The Stables venue is also located in The Grove. It offers a beautiful, pastoral facility for indoor and outdoor gatherings such as weddings, receptions, parties, and other fun events.
Recently added to The Grove are six new pickleball courts. These are in addition to the three pickleball courts already located at our Swim and Tennis Center. The trendy sport of pickleball is growing rapidly, and Harbor Club residents have wholeheartedly embraced it. With so much interest in the game, we built the new courts to better accommodate all who wanted to play. They’ve been a big hit for all who enjoy pickleball as a pastime.
Our award-winning, Weiskopf/Morrish-designed golf course is conveniently located halfway between Augusta and Atlanta, just a few miles off of Interstate 20. Many know that Augusta is swamped with people during Masters Week, as are the golf courses located there. Unfortunately, many of the courses take advantage of the situation and carry a premium price tag. That’s not the case at Harbor Club. Here you can escape the majority of the crowds and enjoy beautiful Lake Oconee too, which is Georgia’s second-largest lake. Every year our patrons tell us that our course is one of the best places to play during Masters Week. So if you’re looking for something fun and memorable to do after watching the practice rounds at The Masters, take advantage of our Masters Week specials and book your tee time today.
Boaters love us
Not only do we have a full-service marina at The Boathouse, we recently added a new second building to the on-site dry boat storage facility located there. With up to 300 covered dry storage spaces, the facility is now the largest on Lake Oconee. What’s more, the new building has multiple rack heights to accommodate higher-profile watercraft. It’s perfect for offshore fishing boats, center console boats with T-tops, wakeboard boats, and ski boats with tow-towers. Even better, we offer shrink wrapping services to keep your watercraft even better protected during the winter months of non-use. Don’t own a boat? That’s ok. We offer a variety of boat rentals for those who wish to enjoy a beautiful day on Lake Oconee.
We are a Southern Living-Inspired Community
Not too long ago, we were one of the few chosen by Southern Living Magazine’s editors as an exclusive Southern Living-Inspired Community. To be included on this prestigious list, our neighborhood had to embrace the natural beauty of the Southern landscape, display the best of Southern Living-inspired architecture, and offer warm environments that foster friendly gatherings, interactions, and celebrations. It helps that we offer plenty of good old southern hospitality too. We pride ourselves on having a charming, resort-like neighborhood with over 80% full-time, friendly residents. Will you be next?
