It’s hard to believe that the last Masters tournament was just a few short months ago in November. (Thanks, COVID-19.) But here we are, well into 2021, and thankfully, The Masters is scheduled for April — its usual spring playdate. But when exactly is The Masters golf tournament being played? Is it allowing spectators? Are 2020 Masters tickets good for 2021 entry? And where’s a great place to play golf during Masters Week? We’ve answered these frequently asked questions and more for you.

When is The Masters?

The 2021 Masters Tournament will begin on Monday, April 5, and end on Sunday, April 11.

Will the 2021 Masters allow spectators?

After hosting the 2020 event without spectators this past November (six months after the usual spring date,) Augusta National Golf Club announced it would allow a limited number of spectators in attendance for the 2021 event.

Are my 2020 Masters tickets good for the 2021 Masters tournament?

Yes. Augusta National announced that 2020 ticket holders are guaranteed the same tickets for the 2021 Masters.

Are cell phones allowed at The Masters?

Cell phones and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited on the grounds of Augusta National at all times. Cameras are not permitted on tournament days, but they are allowed on practice rounds days.

What should I wear to The Masters?

Dress like you’re getting ready to play golf yourself. Do not wear jeans. Gentlemen can’t go wrong with khakis and a polo shirt. Ladies should avoid heels or short shorts. An appropriate-length dress or skirt is a better choice. A hat or sun visor is advisable for skin protection (along with sunscreen.) Attendees should wear comfortable shoes for walking throughout Augusta National. Also, note that any purses, bags, or backpacks you want to bring in can’t be larger than 10 x 10 x 12 inches, and all bags are subject to search.

Can I bring food or drinks into The Masters?

Yes, but why would you want to? Concessions, such as the famous pimento cheese sandwich, are available for sale. Nonetheless, fans who bring their lunch can check them at check stands next to the parking lots at the entrance gates. Keep in mind that no coolers or beverage containers of any type are allowed on the course.
