It’s exciting to think about the upcoming holiday weekend. And at Harbor Club, every day feels like a vacation day. We live here and play here! A nice, long weekend often means fun activities and special time with family and friends. So, if you want to get the most out of your long holiday weekend, consider these ideas:
Get outside, have fun, and get fit playing the fast-growing sport of Pickleball. Sure, it’s an odd name, but it’s a blast to play. Both men and women enjoy group play at 10am on Saturday mornings at the pickleball courts.
Party at the pool **A ‘not to miss’ event!**
From 12-3pm on Saturday, May 27 Harbor Club will have a fantastic party to celebrate the holiday weekend and the recent opening of our sparkling, junior-size Olympic pool. Come enjoy delicious food, special live music, and a giant water slide for the kids (and kids at heart!) Check out the fun photos from past events.
Brunch on Sunday
Out late on Saturday night? Sleep in on Sunday morning then come to the Clubhouse Restaurant to indulge in a delicious Sunday brunch buffet. Brunch is served every Sunday from 11am-3pm. If you have a party of six or more, please make a reservation via email@example.com or calling (706)453-7111.
Catch a free summer concert at The Boathouse **A ‘not to miss’ event!**
Remember, this Sunday night is not a “school night!” We’re starting off our free summer concert series that evening (May 28) from 6-9pm. Come to the Boathouse Restaurant via boat, car, kayak (whatever works best for you and your friends) and enjoy live music by the talented Tim Cadiere. The restaurant is open, so consider purchasing a yummy dinner, snack or drink while you’re there.
Play a great game of golf
Book a tee time and get out on the course with family and friends on Memorial Day. Harbor Club’s golf course and clubhouse will be open on Monday, May 29 from 8am-12pm. (Note that the course will be closed on Tuesday, May 30.)
Indulge in amenities at the Boathouse Marina and Restaurant
There’s so much to do at the Boathouse Marina and Restaurant this time of year. Go for a boat ride, play bocce ball, fish from the community dock, enjoy a great meal — or any combination thereof! The restaurant’s holiday hours of operation over Memorial Day weekend are Friday through Sunday from 11am-9pm, and Monday (Memorial Day) 11am-6pm.
Go for a stroll
At Harbor Club, we have the luxury of having nature right outside our door. Head down to The Grove and walk the trails. Count your miles on our quarter-mile track. Or walk your dog to the dog park for a play date with other neighborhood pups. The dog park has become an excellent place to connect with others in the community.
No matter what activities you end up doing (or not doing if you plan on just relaxing), our family at Harbor Club wishes you and yours a very pleasant holiday weekend.
