Celebrating Friendship and Fun: Harbor Club Ladies League End of Year Party

The Harbor Club Ladies League closed out another wonderful year with a night to remember! Their annual End of Year Party, held at the picturesque Stables at Harbor Club, brought members together for an evening full of laughter, connection, and celebration.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with energy. Friends caught up over drinks, shared stories from the past year, and enjoyed a delicious meal together. As the evening went on, the lively sounds of Reckless Abandon filled the air, getting everyone on their feet for a night of dancing and fun. It was the perfect sendoff to another fantastic season of community, camaraderie, and service.

The Ladies League has always been about more than just social events, though they do know how to throw a great party. Since its founding in 1996, this group of dynamic women has created a lasting impact at Harbor Club. What started as a simple gathering of neighbors has grown into a vibrant organization known for monthly educational luncheons, group outings, charitable support, and strong friendships.

From its early days, when Helen Orler, Jean Chestnut, Martha Sisterhen, Pat Frain, and Margy DeGeorge first dreamed up the idea, to today, the Harbor Club Ladies League remains a vibrant part of life at Harbor Club. Whether it’s organizing a luncheon, volunteering in the community, or dancing the night away, the women of the Ladies League show us the true meaning of connection.

Easter Fun at The Stables

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Family Easter Event at The Stables! With more than 300 children, parents, and grandparents in attendance, it was a joyful day brimming with laughter, sunshine, and seasonal celebration.

The festivities began with age-grouped egg hunts, sending eager little ones racing across the field in search of brightly colored treasures. Their delighted squeals filled the air, creating a soundtrack of pure happiness that echoed throughout the spring-kissed landscape.

Children burned off their sugar highs on the giant inflatable slide and obstacle course, while whimsical face painting and balloon art brought an extra splash of color to the day. A special shout-out to Pegz Fazio of Phantom Face Paint and her talented partner, Phil Alexander, whose incredible artistry kept smiles bright from morning to afternoon.

No Easter event is complete without sweet treats, and this one certainly delivered! Families enjoyed freshly popped popcorn, snow cones, cupcakes, and cookies—many of them served by our youngest volunteers, who enthusiastically ran the popcorn and snow-cone machines and bubble table like seasoned pros.

One of the most magical moments of the day? A visit from the Easter Bunny, of course! Children lined up for photos with their fluffy guest, thrilled to capture the memory amidst a backdrop of festive balloons. Rumor has it there’s a familiar face beneath those long ears—next time you’re dining at the Clubhouse, keep an eye out for Brandon the cook!

This unforgettable day was made possible by the generous support and hard work of so many. We extend our deepest thanks to Brandon Matney and Harbor Club for their generous sponsorship, and to Don C. and Michelle McCracken for organizing supplies and setting the perfect tone with upbeat, festive music.

Most of all, we’re grateful to our incredible event organizer, Kathy Weyer, whose vision and leadership brought this event to life. A big thank-you as well to her team of dedicated volunteers: Chris and Irene Caulfield, Michael and Sherry Pessers, Randy and Lisa Stevens, and Kathy’s own family. Your passion and hard work created a magical experience for everyone involved.
